Dewey's pizza was born in 2004 from a single obsession: making the most honest, craveable pizza in the St. Louis area. Dewey Thompson started by experimenting with dough recipes in his home kitchen, mixing imported Italian flour with locally-sourced Missouri ingredients to create something truly unique.
What began as weekend pop-ups at the Ellisville farmers market quickly grew into a permanent location at 1312 Clarkson Clayton Center. Word spread fast — neighbors told neighbors, families made it their Friday night tradition, and before long Dewey's became the heart of the community.
Today, we still handcraft every single dough ball fresh each morning. We still source tomatoes from the same family farms we found in year one. And we still believe that great pizza is an act of love — not a conveyor-belt commodity.
